MEMBERSHIP

The Global Alliance for SBC aims to create a unified legitimate voice to galvanize international, national, and regional processes that advance the quality and impact of SBC strategies.

We are looking to enlarge our global and local membership to ensure more inclusive and active engagement and participation across the diverse SBC field.

Those organizations and individuals wishing to join the Global Alliance for SBC may reference the expectations for participation below and submit the corresponding interest form.

Joining the Alliance

  • Organizations and individuals can join the Global Alliance for SBC if (one of) your primary focus(es) of work includes social and behavior change (SBC) programming or research.
  • Organizations with sub-national, national, regional, or global reach are encouraged to join.
  • Individual membership is available to an SBC Practitioner working as an independent individual contractor OR within an organization that is unable to become a member of The Alliance, and must have a minimum of five years of direct experience with SBC consulting or programming (SBC design, research, and/or implementation).
  • If the individual is actively working in SBC on the African continent, they must also already be a member of the African Society for SBC.

Benefits to Members

  • Access to and engagement with a diverse and richly experienced network of SBC organizations.
  • Ability to contribute to advocacy strategies to support SBC sector strengthening and investments from national to global level/
  • Access to extensive searchable evidence/impact database.
  • Ability to contribute to development of Policy Briefs using completed evidence reviews.
  • Contribution to determining the expansion of services for Members.
  • Opportunities to share and present on SBC topics, approaches, and innovations.

Expectations for Member Participation

  • Monthly All-Member Meetings – A Member representative attends each monthly call.
  • Action Groups – Member personnel participate in at least one Action group.
  • (Larger organizations are encouraged to dedicate multiple personnel to more than one group.)

Annual Membership Fees

  • Organizational members contribute fees on a sliding scale between USD 200-300.
  • Individual members contribute fees on a sliding scale between USD 50-60.
